HB 131: Maryland Clean Cars Act of 2007
This bill requires the Department of the Environment and the Motor Vehicle Administration to adopt regulations to create a low emissions vehicle program. The Maryland Clean Cars Act of 2007 brings Maryland to the forefront in the quest to reduce air pollution from automobiles. The Act forces auto makers to provide a line of low emissions vehicles by 2011.
HB 136: Base Realignment and Closure Sub-cabinet [BRAC]
This bill will create a sub-cabinet to study the military’s Base Relocation and Closure (BRAC) process. Maryland is expected to gain thousands of additional residents and jobs over the next several years due to BRAC, the newly formed sub-cabinet will prepare a plan to best deal with the issues surrounding the resulting changes.
HB 59: Creation of a State Debt for the Norbel School in Howard County
This bill will authorize a grant of $250,000 to the Board of Trustees of the Norbel School in Howard County. It will be used to construct a Learning Disabled Student Assistance Center at the facility
HB 113: Creation of a State Debt for the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore County
This proposed legislation would provide $500,000 in funding to the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore County. It will allow for the planning, design, construction, reconstruction, and renovation of the office space and community kitchen at the Maryland Food Bank in Halethorpe.
